1. The Main Gallery is holding a reception for their new exhibit Black and White. Works in mixed media, photography, ceramics, and drawing will use contrast to highlight the relationship of black and white. The reception is on Saturday, April 9th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Main Gallery and the exhibit runs through May 1st.

2. A closer look at housing prices in Silicon Valley and their effect on people who work here. With sky rocketing prices and more people needing to move out of the area, are lengthy commutes becoming the norm?

3. If you’ve been following the Docktown story, a small victory for residents came this week. The State Lands Commission directed staff to work together with Redwood City and residents to craft a proposal that would allow the marina to continue functioning for 15 years.

4. City Council is considering measures to amend the Downtown Precise Plan by making it harder to rent out ground-floor spaces as office space, with the hoe of bringing more retail businesses to Main Street.
