This week the City Council approved a partnership with the Magical Bridge Foundation to build an innovative and inclusive playground to open at Red Morton Park in late 2017 or early 2018. The playground will be designed to be socially inclusive for children and adults of varying physical and cognitive abilities. 

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month and the American Red Cross is urging eligible donors to give blood to help ensure a stable and diverse blood supply for patients in need. The Red Cross will be taking donations on Sep. 24th 11am-4pm at the Redwood City Women’s Club at 149 Clinton St.

This Sunday, head down to Courthouse Square for the last Kidchella Concert of the Summer. Andy Z and the Andyland Band will be performing from 11am-1pm.

Redwood City Elementary School District officials continue to grapple with financial concerns and low enrollment. Student enrollment in local schools is lower than projected, which could mean big cuts in funds from the state.
