About two years ago we moved our little family into a house in Redwood City’s Mt. Carmel neighborhood. We knew when we bought the house that we would be putting quite a bit of work into it — for starters, it needs a new foundation and a roof. It’s also a two bedroom, one bathroom and we dreamed of adding on to accommodate our family and have an extra room for guests and a studio space to work from home.

It turns out that those dreams will be realized sooner than we had imagined. Over the past few months we’ve been working with a contractor and designer to put together plans for an addition and remodel. Over the next year, we’ll be reinforcing the foundation, adding a master bedroom suite and remodeling the kitchen. The house is also going to be outfitted with new flooring, windows, and stucco.
